Video #1 – Sin Eater

Sin Eater was the first track written following Nightlord’s reformation in 2010. Written by Jamie and Ferenc, and brought to life by renowned creative artist Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art, the story tells of an ancient ritual long since forgotten.

The act of sin eating was used in times of need, when a person died before the priest could perform the last rites, thereby damning the deceased’s soul to Hell. Very often a passing vagrant would be found to volunteer to perform the Sin Eating ritual in exchange for bed and board, thereby relieving the dead man’s soul of sin, and allowing his soul free passage to the gates of Heaven.

However, this story has a twist, as the Sin Eater in our story realises he has just made a big mistake…
